I was listening to some personal development this morning and this really struck a chord with me. This is a summarized version of what was shared:
Looking at your finances, your bank account and credit card statements, is one of the easiest ways to measure your financial health. Are you building your savings and investing in your future, or are you constantly overdrawn, bankrupt, and in debt?
While looking at your bank account is a good measure of financial health, looking in the mirror is a good way to measure your physical health. BUT more importantly, when you look at your physical health you get to see a reflection of what is going on inside your head. Your mindset, philosophy, and your attitude are often the forces behind your current state of health.
Why do 95% of people who go on a diet gain all the weight back?
Because they thought the weight was their problem, and therefore if the weight was gone so would all their problems be gone.
This, however, is NOT SO!
Their attitude, beliefs, and feelings about themselves were the problem. The weight was merely a symptom of their beliefs about themselves.
You will only ever have the health that matches your level of self.
And that goes for your finances, your relationships, your career, and your physical health.
So, what is the solution?
Go to work on YOU! Your beliefs about yourself, and your philosophy about who you are and who you’re worthy of becoming.
You can only achieve the health (in all aspects of your life) that you believe you are worthy of!
